Review of interventions to enhance uptake of breast screening among minority ethnic women
Project Lead and contact details:
Hilary Piercy (Sheffield Hallam University) and Joanne Coy (NHS Sheffield)

Summary:
Audit work reveals low levels of uptake of breast screening in some parts of Sheffield. Practitioner experience and ward-level information suggests that low uptake correlates with high minority ethnic population.  This review informed by realist synthesis methods is compiling evidence on the approaches taken to increase uptake of breast screening among minority ethnic populations, their underlying assumptions and their degree of success.
